COVID Update

Dear St. Margaret Mary Families,

First, thank you for making the transition to remote learning at such short notice today. It was great to see so many of our students logged in for Morning Announcements.

As you were notified last night, a staff member at St. Margaret Mary tested positive for COVID19 over the weekend. Today I have been in contact with the McHenry County Health Department regarding this situation. As a result, the Health Department determined that quarantining the entire school after today would not be necessary. The Health Department was very satisfied with the COVID-19 safety protocols that have been implemented and followed by all students and staff members. Today, our maintenance team thoroughly disinfected and sanitized the entire school building, making it safe for us to return to in-class instruction tomorrow (October 6, 2020).

Please see the attached official notification of a positive COVID-19 case in the school building.
Thank you for your continued support of St. Margaret Mary Catholic School.

In Faith,

Brenna O’Hearn
Principal – STMM
