June Letter

Dear Saint Margaret Mary School Families,

Summer is officially here are we are hoping that you are beginning to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. The office staff and I are busy preparing for the upcoming school year; it will be here before you know it.

As we prepare for the next school year, I wanted to share with you some of the changes that will take into effect for the 2019-2020 academic school year. As you may know, Mrs. Urbszewski will not be returning next year. The St. Margaret Mary community wishes her all the very best on her new adventures. I am very excited the announce that Mrs. Orabutt will be moving up to 4th grade as the new 4th-grade teacher and Mrs. Mckewen will be going to 1st grade as our returning 1st-grade teacher. I know that both teachers will do an excellent job in their new grade levels.

As always, we will be evaluating our academic programs, sometimes schools are required to change and adapt due to the increase or decrease of enrollment numbers. With this said, our current numbers would reflect one class kindergarten through sixth grade. I am confident that the teachers and support staff of St. Margaret Mary will continue to provide quality education to all our students. St. Margaret Mary will continue to provide additional academic support using instructional aides in several classrooms. These instructional aides are placed in classrooms where additional academic help may be required.

The other significant change for next year is our arrival procedures. Beginning next year our arrival time will change to 8:40 a.m. At 8:40 students will report directly to their classrooms and not the gym. This will give students additional time to check in with the teacher for help or support and prepare for the day. The west doors will remain open until 8:55. Students arriving after 8:55 should enter through the main office doors. The tardy bell will ring at 9:00. Before care options are available, more information to come in the July letter.
